Tansi, Hello!
For years, there has been talk or plans of having a family reunion or gathering. The desire and hope was there but nothing happened, nor was there any follow up. Yet now, this is becoming a reality.
On October 4, 2002, during the Late Andrew Abraham Memorial Round Dance at Frog Lake, Ab., some family members started the initial planning for the gathering. They were; Elder Tom Heavenfire, Linda Prentice, Linda Berger, Melvin Abraham, Thomas Abraham, Rocky Wade, other Abraham members and myself (Shirley Waskewitch).
The family is big. For example, Late Sam Waskewitch was married twice. His sons and daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren reside at Drayton Valley, Bragg Creek, Calgary, Edmonton, Poundmaker, Hobemma, Saddle Lake, Kehewin, Onion Lake, Sarcee, Frog Lake, etc...and many other places. Let us all meet each other.
