Treasurer's report prepared by Linda Prentice read by Gladys Heavenfire. The hat collection at the January meeting total $332.06
 
Meeting opened with a nomination of President discussion and consensus that Edmund Waskewitch, Onion Lake First Nations will be the President. Edmund suggested that the Gathering should be at Kehewin. The people discussed and suggested  that the site be in Kehewin since the old people originated from this reserve. A letter from the decendants will be sent to Kehewin Chief/Council. The alternative site would be Frog Lake First Nations which requires no permission from the Chief and Council, since the land is privately owned by the Abraham family.
 
Dennis and Ray Cardinal will investigate the possibility of using Kehewin cultural grounds and its impact.
 
Susan (Trottier) Quinney informed people that the Gadwa's are also related.
 
Allan Morin is taking charge of the sound system and will look into the cost.
 
Alvina Heavenfire and Peter Trottier made suggestions on how the poster should look like. The concensus is to have Late Sam Waskewitch's picture with pictures of eagles.
 
Leonard suggested that everyone should be in circles/committees - will bring family tree information to speed up research.
 
There will be no outside canteens, family members setting up booths will be expected to donate proceeds towards the Gathering.
 
Photographs will be forwarded to Shirley Waskewitch.
 
Elaine Sharp will prepare a proposal to casino, oil companies, donations in kind.
 
Rocky Wade received $300.00 from Frog Lake Round Dance. It was decided that the money would cover the cost of live taped recording of Round Dance singers/drummers (60-100 tapes to sell).
 
Rejeanne Lameman asked about liability.She is suggested that a statement be on the poster and that we are not responsible for theft, etc...
 
Ray Cardinal proposed a novelty idea in making laminated Decendant Membership cards with a picture of Late Sam Waskewaitch (fundraiser and to cover the costs $300.00 for the cards) The President and Secreatry will provide their signatures. Relatives 18 and over will pay $10.00, 17 and under to pay $5.00.
 
The funds raised during the Round Dance is $377.05 by canteen sales.
 
Cash, awards, trophies are required for the Talent Show. Mel Abraham will supply a donation for the male vocalists.
 
Edmund Waskewitch would like to hold a bingo but needs a cash float & volunteers at Onion Lake.
 
Martha Half - Jim Verigin is donating a pig to be raffled at $10.00 per ticket. The cost of butchering, wrapping can be worked out from ticket sales.
 
Leon Abraham (Elvis Impersonator) donated the sales of 6 CD's during the Round Dance.
 
Dawn (Waskewitch) Mentuck will collect voluntary donations from Saskatoon relatives.
 
Next Meeting will be on March 22, 2003 at Kehewin Recreation Hall - 12 noon. Bring food...potluck.
